Because of the popularity of the Fall Conference, and by popular demand, we are holding a follow-up to Dr. Rinaldo’s presentation. He will be conducting the workshop that will focus on how best to provide assistance to students who are working on mixed methods research. The presentation will begin with an overview of mixed methods research including what it is, and when it should be used, and move to a more poignant discussion about the role of quantitative and qualitative methods as they relate to what are currently referred to as qual-quan and quan-qual approaches.
Vince Rinaldo has over 25 years of teaching experience at the K-12 and university levels and over 30 years of experience as a professional musician. He currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in educational research and statistics and in the assessment of learning. As a member of the faculty at Niagara University since January 2002, he has held the rank of professor since fall of 2011, and is currently serving as the Chairperson for the Department of Middle Childhood and Adolescent Education. Vince holds a BA in English from McMaster University, an M.S.Ed. from Niagara University; an M.Ed. OISE University of Toronto; a Ph.D. OISE University of Toronto and is currently completing an MBA in strategic management
